life in revelution

It was hard times. I live in Cairo while my family lives in Alexandria. When the revolution started on 25Jan in Cairo and Alexandria, I wanted to go Tahreer square. But I couldn't because i live alone. So I had to stay behind my flat and my car to protect them from criminals. The neighbors have the same problem too. then we organized ourselves as groups. one of them stood at the entrance of building, the second stood at the street to protect all of us, while the other walking around to tell us about any changes may take a place. we kept our eyes opened all of night. In this time I was worried about my parents whose live in Alexandria. In the next day I decided to go to Alexandria to live or die beside them. I rode my car then I had to go through one of two ways, Desert road or agriculture road. most of friends told me"You should not travel, The roads are not safe" but I can't I decided to go. Before I leaved Cairo I visited my university in Nasr city, 45 km from my house, and took a look on every things. I get my way to Alexandria through the agriculture road which considered the worst unsafe road. I started revolution in Alexandria then I came back to share Tahreer protests where I met my friends and completed it until victory. Thanks

  1. Mahmoud, I know what your friends meant when they said that the Agricultural road was unsafe. As you know, my town, Tanta, lies almost halfway between Cairo and Alex. Actually, one of my friends was having his wedding early February. He invited me, but I just congratulated him by phone. I knew later that on his way to his new house, his pride and him were stppoed by a gang. Fortunately, they just took the car and the arrived safe to their appartment somehow. I hope those days will never come back.
